Christmas in the Country Bake Sale, November 29 - December 2, 2007
The annual WQHP cookie sale at Christmas in the Country was a big success! In the photos, Shirley Murray of Elkhart Lake finalizes her purchase as Jane Darga,a volunteer for the museum, looks on. The Mariner’s compass quilt in the background was a crowd pleaser and prompted many conversations about our mission to build on our property. Thanks to Luella Doess, Jane Darga and Betty Moye for organizing this sale and all the bakers who made it possible.

Festive Fridays Make It & Take It at Cedarburg Settlement, November 23, 2007
The “Make and Take” at the Cedarburg Mill’s Festive Friday was very well attended on November 23rd. During the four hours that the WI Quilt Museum manned their table over 50 ornaments and cards were made by adults and children. Kay Walters and Kaye Kovacs set up for making styrofoam “quilted” ornaments and nearly ran out of fabric after the boys modified the basic design by tufting in squares to create a very interesting effect. Watch for more “Make and Take” by the museum at upcoming festivals in Cedarburg!
