Description: Making coiled fabric bowls is a textile project I love to do as it has a very soothing rhythm while creating. Additionally, class participants have been very enthusiastic about the bowls, finding them to be something different, artsy and fun. According to Country Living ..."Woven vases, rope rugs and coil baskets are functional and stylish accents to just about any modern, contemporary or nautical themed home.”  Plus, this is a good project to upcycle your leftover fabrics!

We will create beautiful and unique coiled fabric bowls out of batik fabric, fat quarters or your leftover fabrics. Participants will learn how to wrap and secure the fabric and then how to stitch the fabric coil. Finish your bowl with a twisted coil and maybe buttons, beads or charms.

Later Event: March 19
