Thank you so much for making the Quarantine Quilt happen! With your help we created a wonderful collaborative art project that includes over 500 fiber art blocks that have so far been turned into 28 quilts ranging in size from one block quilts to a 49 block quilt!

Thank you to everyone who joined in or took part in any way to make this project possible!

For this project Fiber Art Blocks were accepted between March 17th 2020- December 31st 2020. Blocks received prior to June 30th 2020 were included in the Fall 2020 exhibition found. The museum still has a few “loose” blocks to create into quilts which they will complete in 2021.

Quarantine Quilt Exhibit Catalog Now Available!

This lavishly illustrated 48-page catalog includes the 27 quarantine quilts that were on display for the 2020 exhibition, along with selected stories submitted by Quarantine Quilt block artists.

In March of 2020, when the world (along with Wisconsin and the United States) went into quarantine as a way to help stop the spread of Covid-19, WMQFA put out a call for artists to submit 12 x 12-inch blocks that reflected their experiences, thoughts, and feelings about the pandemic. Intended to encourage individuals to keep creating while staying safely at home, the call received an overwhelming response: over 500 blocks were submitted from more than 400 artists.
